YMCA Launches After Hours Access and New Exercise Classes in January

The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana is starting the new year by offering new classes and services to the Tri-State area.

Starting January 1st, After Hours Access will be available at the Dunigan Family YMCA on the eastside of Evansville for members ages 18 years or older. The new service will provide access to the Wellness Center, Indoor Track, and Lobby areas of the building so members can stay active and meet their goals at any time.

The Y is also adding three new classes to their group exercise schedule at both Evansville locations. Starting January 7th, the new schedule will include:

1. SoulBody Unhitched, a class combining pilates, barre, and core movement patterns using light equipment to challenge balance and core stability.

2. Les Mills Dance, a class featuring innovative dance movements set to music inspired from a wide variety of dance genres.

3. Guided Meditation, a class connecting breath with mindfulness in order to reach complete relaxation and release physical, mental, and emotional tension.

These new classes will be demonstrated at the Y’s annual Fit4All event on Saturday, January 6th. Fit4All is open to the community and no membership is required.
