The Vanderburgh Humane Society would like to congratulate Events & Outreach Coordinator, Mackenzee McKittrick, on accepting the role of Executive Director with Alley Cat Advocates in Louisville, KY.

In her 4 years at the VHS, Mackenzee has excelled at not only strengthening existing VHS events & programs such as Margie's Pet Food Pantry, but contributing to the organization's growth by adding new initiatives and increasing engagement. Most notably, she has developed and launched VHS' Community Cat Program, formalizing it into a full-blown full-time program for the first time in the organization’s history.

Mackenzee’s work with community cats and neonatal kitten fostering, both before and during her time at VHS, is what will help her excel so much in this new role. Alley Cat Advocates is an organization that serves exclusively community cats in the Louisville region. Mackenzee will be succeeding the organization's Founder and first Executive Director, Karen Little, upon Karen’s retirement in February.
