• We will look at factors for human infrastructure (Ease of access for U-cut operations)
• Suitable soils for growing Christmas Trees and other site factors

Tree Species 

There are several main species that are commonly grown in Indiana.

• Fraser Fir- classic Christmas tree, short soft needles with still branches and a narrow crown
• Scotch Pine- faster growing trees with stiff branches
• Eastern white pine- fast growing tree with long soft needles and flexible branches
• Spruces- short sharp needles
• Other species
