Virtual Webinar - Federal Labor Laws 101

Virtual Webinar - Federal Labor Laws 101

Tuesday, April 16, 2024 (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

This webinar is offered in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board.

Representatives will give a brief overview of each organization and address questions such as:

  • I have an employee wanting to be an independent contractor (1099). What do I do?
  • My employee is asking for changes to a work situation due to a medical condition. Do I have to agree?
  • Is my company required to abide by federal discrimination laws?
  • My employee violated my company policy against discussing wages. Can I fire them?
  • I received a letter saying my employees want to join a labor union. What does that mean?

A recording will be made available, but you are encouraged to attend live and ask questions during the event.
