About this event:

Leidos is a leader in the defense industrial base. As prime integrator, the Leidos Dynetics group leads efforts for developing and manufacturing hypersonic system vital to the Army and Navy. These programs include Common Hypersonic Glide Body and Thermal Protection System hypersonic programs. And most recently, Leidos led the first hypersonic technology test utilizing a commercial available space launch vehicle under the Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonic Test Bed (MACH-TB) NSWC-Crane program. Additionally, Leidos plays a key role in the development of trusted and assured microelectronics for use on DoD systems.

In this presentation, Leidos Director of Advanced Programs & Initiatives, Ashley Brawner, will provide an overview of Leidos as a defense industry leader and employer, specifically programs currently under development in the hypersonic and microelectronics fields.

About the speaker:

Ashley Brawner is the Director, Advanced Programs and Initiatives within the Hypersonics and Advanced Materials Division. In this role, she leads key stakeholder engagements, strategic initiatives, and technology innovation to enable current and future weapon systems. She previously served as the inaugural Senior Program Manager of the Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonic Test Bed program, playing a critical role in capture of the new program for Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane for Leidos. In this role she led the large and diverse industry, academia and national laboratory team to increase flight test opportunities for hypersonic technology maturation resulting in the first hypersonic technology flight test utilizing a commercial space launch provider within 49 days of contract award.

Prior to joining Leidos, Ashley was a systems engineering and technical leader on OUSD (R&E) Hypersonics team developing and executing near-, intermediate- and long-term strategies to support hypersonic initiatives in alignment with warfighter needs. Previous roles have included providing expertise in program management, system integration and test, and guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) for unmanned and hypersonic systems to key DoD partners including Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), US Navy, US Air Force, and US Army programs.
