Department of Energy 48C workshop in Evansville

Department of Energy 48C workshop in Evansville

Tuesday, April 16, 2024 (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Attend a regional workshop organized by the Interagency Working Group (Energy Communities), in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, focusing on the Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Credit (§ 48C).

  • Date: Tuesday, April 16, 2024
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT
  • Location: Carter Hall at University of Southern Indiana

The workshop aims to provide valuable insights into the 48C program and its potential to stimulate clean energy projects, with 40% of the $10 billion available allocated for Energy Communities (which we are in northeastern Vanderburgh County but all of Posey, Warrick and Gibson counties). This is relatively low-hanging fruit for our region’s manufacturers to tap into the tax credits offered in the Inflation Reduction Act.

Key Highlights:

  • Overview of the 48C program and its benefits
  • Discussion on investment opportunities in energy communities
  • Panels featuring perspectives from various stakeholders
  • Networking opportunities to foster collaboration

This event is open to all interested parties, including project developers, asset owners, financiers, government officials, community leaders, and organizations.
