America Succeeds, on behalf of the Indiana Department of Education, seeks to engage Indiana employers on their perspectives and needs related to employability skills. Through interactive focus groups, we will collect employer feedback regarding the following questions: 

•How do employers think about the employability skills of communication, collaboration, and work ethic in practice? 

•What does mastery of those skills look like? 

•What are employers’ expectations with respect to candidate competency in employability skills, and where do employers believe candidates are (or should be) learning these skills? 

•How do employers screen for and develop employability skills? 

•What connections, tools, and/or other resources are missing for employers when it comes to employability skills?
