Description

Quick changeover is a lean manufacturing technique that can significantly improve efficiency by reducing changeover times. This results in lower manufacturing costs and greater flexibility.

In this workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of setup reduction and how to apply quick-change thinking across various setups and industries. The training focuses on achieving quick changeover through the systematic elimination of internal setup components and streamlining the final process.

Workshop Objectives:

• Understand quick changeover and setup reduction concepts and principles.
• Learn how each step in the changeover process contributes to setup reduction or elimination.
• Document tasks or elements of an existing changeover process.
• Apply the Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) system to identify and analyze areas for improvement.
• Implement quick changeover improvements and track results.
• Develop a plan to standardize improvements.

Intended Audience: Manufacturing personnel, including technicians, engineers, and managers.
