Purdue MEP Workshop
Daniel Goleman famously noted, “IQ determines the careers and professions people enter, but EQ (emotional intelligence) determines how far they go.” Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand and manage your own emotions while recognizing and responding effectively to the emotions of others. It is a critical skill for effective leadership and strong team collaboration.
Successful leaders rely on competencies such as self-awareness, self-discipline, motivation, social awareness, and empathy—skills that are increasingly important in today’s workplace.
This workshop will explore how emotional intelligence strengthens leadership effectiveness and provide practical insights for applying these skills in team and organizational settings.
New and experienced managers, supervisors, and team leaders who want to strengthen their leadership effectiveness and improve workplace communication and collaboration.
