Today’s Story: Alegria Accessories

The founder of Alegria Accessories, Sarah Capehart, is the daughter of missionaries. Her parents were the founding directors of a children’s home in Honduras.

Hearing of the young women's struggles to find safe, living wage jobs for many years, and finding herself without a job in the middle of a pandemic, she took her 22 years of experience in jewelry and went to Honduras to found Alegria Accessories. The mission: to create jobs for every young woman who grew up the children's home; giving them a safe workplace, wages they can support their families on, and a job that they can enjoy and be proud of.

Sarah Capehart will be discussing what Alegria Accessories is and how her company empowers Honduran women with safe, living wage jobs.
