YMCA Camp Carson Hosts Regional NASP Archery Shoot This Saturday

YMCA Camp Carson in partnership with the Toyota Indiana YMCA and North Gibson School Corporation will host a regional National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) certified shoot Saturday, April 2nd at YMCA Camp Carson in Princeton, IN. The event will be the first of its kind in Indiana.

The event will feature an all-day outdoor shoot for over 500 archers coming from all across the state. Gates open for archers on Saturday, April 2nd at 8 AM, and archers will shoot in various rounds throughout the day until 6 PM.

Event coordinators hope to create awareness of YMCA Camp Carson as well as raise funds to provide camp scholarships for children who otherwise could not afford them. YMCA Camp Carson Executive Director, Jim Sexstone, says “Archery has become very popular. We wanted to find a way to engage more kids at Camp Carson and feature all the activities available at camp like archery.”

The event is open to the public for a $5 admission fee and includes additional activities like hiking and the climbing wall.
