The Evansville Philharmonic Chorus, under the direction of Andrea Drury, will perform their spring concert at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, located at 5130 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville on Sunday, April 24 at 4 PM. 

The one-hour program of varied choral repertoire covers many styles and periods of music including Franz Biebl’s Ave Maria, Susan LaBarr’s The River, Mother Goose Rhymes by Stephen Shewan, Elaine Hagenberg’s Song of Miriam and You Do Not Walk Alone, plus How Can I Keep from Singing arranged by Sarah Quartel, and more. Pianist Tom Drury will accompany the chorus. 

Native Texan, Andrea is currently the Fine Arts Specialist for choral and general music and theatre for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. She taught applied voice at the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana for two years prior. 

Mrs. Drury was the conductor of the North High School Choral Department from 2005-2015 where her choirs placed in the top ten at the state competition for nine of her ten years. Since 2012, she has been the choral director of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She currently is the Area 7 Representative for the Indiana Music Education Association and the Repertoire and Resources Lifelong Coordinator and Community Chair for the Indiana Choral Director Association. 

Mrs. Drury received her Bachelor of Music Education from Baylor University in 1996 and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University in 2000. 

The Evansville Philharmonic Chorus is a volunteer chorus of approximately eighty members who perform major choral repertoire with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra.
