The Systems Administrator is responsible for UFB network systems and the overall health of the IT infrastructure. This position requires an individual with an expert level of what it takes to manage complex systems that span across multiple states. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, managing competing, ever-changing priorities while maintaining accurate and timely deliverables.


Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor networks to ensure security and performance.
  • Analyze, isolate, and resolve network, voice, data, and wireless issues.
  • Manage corporate phone systems and wireless network.
  • Manage corporate web content filtering.
  • Assist Sr. Network Administrator, as needed, with the following:
    • Maintain network infrastructure, VPN gateways, routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, security updates and patches
    • Install and support of LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intra-net systems
    • Upgrade, install and troubleshoot networks, networking hardware devices and software
  • Review network monitoring reports daily and report issues.
  • Serve as primary support for emergency outages, scheduled outages, and other emergent IT situations.
  • Maintain inventory of network equipment and parts as well as documentation of vendor activities.
  • Recommend and schedule repairs to the LAN/WAN.
  • Maintain network performance by performing network analysis, troubleshooting network problems, and escalating issues.
  • Responsible for a high level of confidentiality and security while handling company information; verbal and/or written documentation.
  • Perform duties related to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer.

    Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • Switching and VLANs
    • Routing and dynamic routing protocols
    • Network security
  • Must possess the following abilities:
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving

    • Strong oral and written communication
  • Team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships across the bank
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours in order to accommodate business needs

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or technical field preferred. 
  • A minimum of Four (4) years of professional IT experience is required. Specifically:
    • IDS/IPS platforms, routers, switches, wireless, and other products
    • Hypervisor platforms and backup strategies
    • SAN hardware
    • Phone system management
    • Microsoft Azure

Physical Requirements of Essential Job Functions:

The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls that are typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items weighting up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc.


Working Conditions: 

  • Regular working hours; Monday - Friday from 8a.m. to 5p.m. Based on the nature of the duties being performed, there may be hours that fall outside of the defined regular ones. Weekends included
  • Travel outside the Evansville region (overnight stays) may be required should business needs dictate.
  • Extended viewing of computer screens.
