Job Summary:


The Commercial Lending Manager is responsible for soliciting and servicing prospective customers producing a variety of commercial loans as well as generating and managing a portfolio of business and corresponding relationships, while seeking new accounts through calling efforts, marketing, and referrals.


Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages, builds, coaches, and maintains a staff of Lenders. Supports the Lenders in the performance of their assigned responsibilities by providing consistent performance feedback and preparing performance reviews.
  • Establishes and maintains direct involvement and promotes exceptional customer service with existing and prospective customers.
  • Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans.
  • Market bank products to individuals and firms, promoting bank services that meet customers' needs.
  • Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
  • Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
  • Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
  • Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Submit credit requests and appropriate financial information to credit analysts to determine creditworthiness of applicant.
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customers' needs.
  • Review and update credit and loan files.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers who have delinquent loans.
  • Perform all duties in relation to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

 

  • ‪Five (5) years of experience as a commercial loan business development officer or equivalent work experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in finance or accounting is preferred but not required.


Physical Requirements of Essential Job Functions:


The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls that are typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items weighting up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc.


Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment.
  • Extended viewing of computer screens.
  • Regular office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
