SUMMARY:Ribbon Cutting - Grand Opening of Granted's House of Hope
DESCRIPTION:SCHEDULE:9:00 AM - Speakers begin9:15 AM - Ribbon cuttingOpen house to follow"What if our community had a magical place to serve our local community's sickest children? We have exciting news to share\, and we invite you to be a part of the excitement! Granted has been fulfilling once-in-a-lifetime Wishes to children with terminal or life-threatening conditions for 41 years! For these children\, simple joys of life are eclipsed by doctors' visits\, medical tests\, treatments\, and hospital stays. The lives of their family members shift to a place of fear\, stress\, and worry. Granted was founded locally in 1985 when our founders recognized a gap in service by the national wish granting organization. Although Wishes can be life-changing and sometimes life-saving\, we recognize that our families need more love and support after the Wish. We fill that gap with our BEYOND THE WISH programming that provides families with dignity\, respect\, close relationships\, support groups\, ongoing support\, and services. We are growing and evolving rapidly to meet the needs of local children and families fighting their toughest battles. To completely close the gap in services\, we need a comprehensive space to expand our BEYOND THE WISH programs to meet the needs\, and best serve these children and their families. Granted's HOUSE OF HOPE presented by Roy and Amanda Jorgensen is a beautiful\, magical\, familiar\, and safe place for local Wish families to feel loved. At the House of Hope\, they will feel a strong connection\, supported\, understood\, share experiences\, and ultimately have a place to meet their specific needs and improve the quality of their lives."
